Join us for out first Free GMIA Songwriters Workshop of 2025. Bring your instrument, your (5 copies) lyrics & be ready to share your song in the making. This should be a song that your are working on or need help with; not finished yet.

Richard Price plays Guitar, sings background, and occasionally a bit of saxophone and keyboards, too. Richard grew up in Texas under the spell of the great players from there such as Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughn, Eric Johnson as well as the L.A. cats like Larry Carlton and Robben Ford. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Music Composition, after which he spent many years in the Home Entertainment business before resuming Guitar playing and teaching in the Atlanta area. 

Richard has been a member of THUNDERGYPSY since 2015. In August 2017 THUNDERGYPSY competed in and won the Atlanta Blues Challenge. From there, they went on to participate in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN where they played on the legendary stage at B.B. King's Blues Club. Between the Atlanta challenge and the IBC in Memphis, they moved into the recording studio and created their self-titled debut album. In 2022 they recorded their second album “Ladies of the Blues”.

In 2024 work has began on the third album at Virtual Adrenaline Productions. In addition to tracks from the band, this one will also feature acoustic “Unplugged” songs featuring vocalist Heather Statham and Richard in a duo format. This album will be the first THUNDERGYPSY record all original songs.

Richard is also working with Virtual Adrenaline Productions as a member of the house band and songwriting team known as the Virtual Adrenaline Band.

We will dive into what directions you are trying to move to reach your goals. What does it take Who do you need to know & who you can or should work with to inspire you to reach your next level. Be ready to answer the real questions that make you think a litter deeper.

April Workshop Expect Something Different. Be ready for a change: how you do things, what to expect & how to act or react... Are YOU Ready?

Remember to bring a friend (if you don't have one, just pick one on the way). Bring a snack to share & your instrument.

 It's Time to Write A Song

Bring your thoughts ideas & a melody in your head, because it's time to put some music to the story in your head.

 We have NO WORKSHOP for June. Take this time to work on a new song or project to have ready for next month.

Special Guest Speaker:    

Legendary Atlanta Choreographer and Artist Developer, Drock Lynn.  Drock has worked with American Idol and recording artist, Diana DeGarmo, Lorde, Kandi Burrus of the R&B singing group Xscape, Keri Hilson, and many other up and coming artists.  He was the main choreographer for the movie "Fighting Temptations", and worked behind the scenes on "The Notebook".  Drock is also a member of the dance group "Obsession", known for their contribution to the "Yeek" Culture dance movement of Atlanta, inspiring artists like Usher "Yeah" and Ciara, helping introduce the world to the Atlanta Yeek Dancers.
